The Banner Press newspaper is seeking a part-time news reporter to cover happenings and people in Bollinger County. The position calls for up to 16 hours a week, with some night and weekend work. The right candidate will have some writing experience with a degree or major in English, journalism or
related field. This would be an ideal position for a retired educator who enjoys writing or a college student looking to gain experience. Must have a flexible schedule and reliable transportation. Schedule will be flexible, depending on news. The reporter will file three to four stories of varying length per week; most of the reporting will be feature stories, highlighting people and activities in the county. The part-time reporter will work with a full-time staff journalist, who will edit copy and make assignments.
