The Warehouse Assistant supports the production of plastic compounds by performing material handling tasks according to prescribed methods and criteria.
A Warehouse Assistant will routinely destage finished goods material from the production area, inspect packaged material for shipment, prepare labels and load trucks with finished goods material, and assist other personnel with respect to plant housekeeping duties.
Preferred candidates should have prior work history in a warehousing environment and have strong inventory management and forklift skills. Job Description (including job duties and essential functions) is available from company during interview. Starting pay is $14.89 per hour. The typical work schedule includes 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (overtime is required according to production demand).
Candidates must have GED or High School diploma. Skills testing using ACT WorkKeys tests will be performed (Applied Mathematics, Graphic Literacy and Workplace Documents). The Warehouse Assistant must perform the essential functions of the job, which may include at times, working in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
Job offer will be conditional upon satisfactory background check, drug test and employment entrance exam (medical exam).
